Sleeping Pony Hearts, originally designed by the artist BambooDog, are utterly adorable. You can't deny it. From the original Fluttershy heart, submitted to deviant art on May 10th 2011, the sleeping ponies became immensely popular in the brony community, with requests to artists such as Pyrestriker becoming overwhelming.
Everyone wanted an innocently sleeping pony!
Enter Colin Stewart and the Brony Heart Month.
Colin had the idea that, seeing as these ponies were already becoming popular, they could be turned into a movement. With 'Love' and 'Tolerance' being some of the key ideas of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and therefore the brony community, what better way to increase them to have a cute, loving pony asleep as your profile picture?
It all was started with a small group on facebook, under Colin's encouragement, changing their profile picture to one of their pony persona- as a sleeping heart- for the month of November. This idea quickly expanded to Skype and other social networking platforms. In a single week, the number of people attending Brony Heart Month increased from 50 to nearly 400!
But how does this site come in?
This site is a compilation of all the sleeping ponies floating around- a website of pure Love and Tolerance! With the help of this blog, Colin and his helpers hope to keep the Brony Heart Month alive as a symbol of the brony community.
Within this blog is and image and details of each pony, as well as information to where you can get your own made.
